Testimonials "Lily started as a Maternity Nurse as my son was a newborn. She has been fantastic at this both when he was a newborn (whilst requiring feeding) and now with the differing challenges of caring for a 6 month old and 21 month old simultaneously during the evening and night. Lily helps with all aspects of the children’s day ranging from food, playtime, classes, bedtime, bath time and lots of creative arts and crafts. She is an incredibly hard worker who ultimately gets satisfaction from helping people and being of value, this is evident in everything she does for us. Lily has an unflappable and calming nature, she is never flustered and tackles every situation in her calming style always with good humour. Our children adore Lily and we as a family could not value her more highly. She is an exceptional carer of children and we as a family trust her implicitly." WR, Dad of 2yr old and 11 month old. "Lily is confident, hardworking, kind and is a popular member of our midwifery team. She is always spoken of very highly by women in her care. • Registered Midwife,
  • Member of RCM and RCN and Association of Radical Midwives
Testimonials "What we had not banked on was Tina, she was an absolute life saver! She worked with me to get me breastfeeding (which unfortunately was not easy for me), answered all our questions on the babies, ensured they were gaining weight and all other baby related support. However the support which I had not banked on needing was the emotional support for me. Baby blues hit me quite bad and Tina was invaluable at helping me get through the first 6 weeks. I can not even begin to thank her for everything, if I had to sum it all up I would say she is a modern Mary Poppins just making everything seem like it will be okay (which as all parents will tell you it will be but with her help it seemed more believable!). If you are looking for a bit of additional support for what ever reason I can not recommend booking Tina enough." AB mum to twins "Tina was an absolute rock for both my husband and I in the first few weeks after our first baby. Her gentle and calm reassurance gave us the confidence to transition into being parents. We really looked forward to her visits every morning, invariably with so many more questions from experiences the day before. She was so approachable, flexible and always willing to listen to our worries and patiently answer all our questions. I highly recommend Tina for any first time parent.’ LRJ, new mum "Tina genuinely cares, and understands the fears and anxieties of a new mum so well. Nothing feels like too much trouble for her." KH mum of 11 week old.

Qualifications & Accreditations
  • Jo & Emily are fully Registered Midwives with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
Testimonials "Having a private midwife was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was apprehensive about pregnancy and birth due to bad experiences close friends and family have had. My community midwife was unable to give the time I needed to discuss my concerns and overcome them. Jo spent the time in our appointments educating me on the physiology, assuaging fears and promoting a positive birth. Over the weeks I became more relaxed and confident about my abilities and choices around birthing! Having Emily at my birth in addition to the hospital midwives was an amazing support to my husband and I. Just knowing she was there made us both feel at ease, and when I had complications with the third stage she was able to keep me calm, focused and feeling safe. On top of this the aftercare from both Jo and Emily was invaluable. They were never far away with well scheduled visits and communication by phone and text. Without the regular reassurance and support they provided I would have most certainly given up breastfeeding my baby girl, which I love still being able to do 9 weeks later. The care we all received – my husband, daughter and I – was fabulous and made a life changing event truly wonderful and memorable. I feel like I have gained friendships as part of the experience and will call on them if we have another baby." J.R. mum of one. "I cannot put into words how much Jo has helped and guided me through both my pregnancies, she’s not only a brilliant midwife and someone I feel totally safe with, but has become a dear friend. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to have Jo at the birth of all my babies. My advice to anyone who is struggling to justify paying for Jo as a midwife when you can go down the NHS route is: it’s all about quality…ditch the brand-new pram and buy a ‘pre-loved’ one, spend the money on your birth and I promise it’ll be the best thing you’ve ever done." L.E. mum of two "Having the same midwife for every single visit makes such a difference, you really feel like she understands you and your family. Being a working mum of two already, having someone fitting around our needs made everything so much less stressful. I loved that the whole family were involved in Emily’s visits to our home, the children listened to their sister’s heartbeat and were so much part of the pregnancy journey...O’s birth at home was the most beautiful experience I could have wished for. It was so calm and relaxing, the lights were low, we had fairy lights everywhere and our music playing in the background. When O arrived in the water, Emily tapped O towards me so I could slowly lift her out of the water. I was the first one to hold my baby, that is so incredibly empowering and I put her straight to my skin. I didn’t know that labour and birth could be so magical and it is all thanks to Emily, giving me the confidence and skills to relax and the knowledge I could trust my body to do what it needed to do." K.A. mum of three.

I particularly remember the one where the child put a pea in his nose and dad skilfully extradited it! I have done First Aid courses before but this one was by far the most in depth and made me feel reassured by the fact that the teachers are in the medical field. I’d highly recommend their courses.'' Contact Daisy First Aid Hi, my name is Caroline and I am a mum to a very energetic boy who loves singing, dancing and simply making stuff at home with cardboard, paper, sellotape, stickers you name it! When I was on my maternity leave, I decided that I wanted to learn first aid to make sure that I knew what to do in an emergency with my son, especially as I was the main carer. I was told about Daisy First Aid and went to a 2 hour session with my partner, sister and a couple of friends. About a year after, I received an email from the owner of DFA about running a franchise and it simply just went from there! So almost 5 years down the line, leaving my HR job in the city which was the best thing I've ever done, I have trained thousands of parents and parents to be, along with grandparents who let's face it do more and more babysitting these days. I have also trained lots of aunts, uncles, antenatal groups, babysitters and children's companies too who have a duty of care and want to be prepared just in case something happens during their classes. I have concentrated on providing just the 2 hour classes giving my customers the skills and confidence to deal with an emergency should it arise. At the end of the year I will also be offering the longer classes for childminders and increasing my kids' classes. I simply love my job, meeting lots of lovely new people all of the time and giving them such important live saving skills along with working around my son. Qualifications & Accreditations
  • Fully trained Daisy First Aid Paediatric Trainer
  • First Aid At Work
Testimonials "I did the 2 hour paediatric first aid course at the beginning of February. Caroline was/is AMAZING! She's knowledgeable, calm, and delivered the course in both a friendly and professional manner. If you want a basic and thorough course, then this is the one for you. The truth is that you'll be on the phone in an emergency anyway, this gives you the knowledge and confidence to act fast in those vital moments before the emergency services arrive. Thank you again Caroline! :) x" AS, new mum - Venue Class "Thanks so much to Caroline, we had a fantastic session at our house with my NCT group. Caroline is very friendly and knowledgable, she came fully loaded with adult and baby mannequins so we could not only understand the theory but also practice CPR, recovery positions and choking actions. We covered so much in the 2 hour session for first aid on adults, kids and babies and how treatment differs between those age groups and kept things simple so you can remember them. She was very understanding when we needed to pause to deal with a baby needing something and could answer all our questions. Would definitely recommend." HF, mum of newborn. Private Class "Caroline was an amazing instructor. We got the whole family together at ours so everyone could get trained together. My niece is pregnant so she found it all very useful and made her husband feel more confident for when the baby arrives. My son is 8 months old and will soon have some sleepovers at his grandmas so she really appreciated the lesson and feels more comfortable know for feed times and possible accidents. Overall we were all super happy with the class and definitely would recommend it." KO'D, mum of 8month old.

Contact April My name is April and I am a mum to two gorgeous boys. I have been working as a postnatal doula since 2014. I decided then to focus on the postnatal space, the part when your baby comes home, and the fun can really start. With my first son, Max, I got home from the hospital and thought “what now?”. I wasn't sure what to do next. I have been working with lots of gorgeous families who were after help for different reasons; looking for reassurance, chatting through ideas & emotions, feeling overwhelmed or reluctant to ask for help but knew something had to happen. Sometimes they had no support they could call on, or a partner who works long hours and they were after a second pair of hands. Reasons for asking for Doula support are varied and often change as you go along. How we feel on week one can be hugely different to week 10. The help I offer comes with no judgement. I am here to support YOUR choices. This helps support new babies coming into the world. My help gently reminds you that this is your journey and an encouragement to tune into your instincts - sometimes this gets lost in the books, haze and tiredness. At the end of my support, you will be feeling confident in your choices. Often this means going through a range of emotions, however you are fully supported until you feel you have turned your corner whether you are a first-time mum or becoming mum again. Qualifications & Accreditations
  • Recognised Postnatal Doula (Doula UK),
  • Peer Supporter Breastfeeding
Testimonials "Amazing. An incredibly emotionally and practical support during a challenging time". CM, mum of 2. "As a first-time mum I was a little shell shocked about my birth experience and I struggled with my newborn during the early weeks, April provided a good listening ear and she gave me suggestions and advice on several things". NP, mum of 1 “April was very friendly, caring and empathetic. In the early days when I was unwell she gave me the space I needed and was very caring. She was also very knowledgeable about my illness and researched lots of resources for me” LD, mum of 1.

Contact Kayla Hello! I have always loved babies and after travelling the world as a Norland Maternity Nurse, I settled down in London to be a solo mum. My sons birth wasn’t the easiest and when I discovered Doulas I thought I could really help women to have a better experience than I had. I trained as a Birth Doula and now have eleven years of experience working both privately in South West London and part-time on the Birth Centre at Chelsea & Westminster hospital. I was one of the first ever doulas employed by the NHS eight years ago and I believe the vast experience I have gained in all fields of maternity care (including my ten years as a maternity nurse) is of benefit to my private clients. I enjoy the continuity and connection with the pregnant couples; from the initial meeting, the antenatal meetings, the birth right through to the postnatal time.

I believe that having a baby is a truly unique, wonderful and life changing experience which should be both cherished and a happy memory for life. To help you achieve this my aim is simple - caring, supporting and empowering you throughout the pregnancy and entire labour, providing both consistency and calmness along this wondrous journey. As your doula I will provide you with a tailored, personalised and professional service throughout your pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal journey. This will consist of extensive and knowledgeable guidance in a non-judgemental, relaxed and friendly manner in your home to suit your particular birth, your personal needs and to compliment any other antenatal classes you might have attended. I enjoy working with a variety of women; first pregnancies, IVF, multiple pregnancies, caesarean sections, older mums, single mums, VBAC's, water births and women who have had a previous difficult first birth. In the early stages of labour I will be with you at your home offering calmness and support before accompanying you to hospital (or staying at home for a home-birth). Once at the hospital, support and guidance with any type of pain relief you might wish to consider including epidural. Then finally assist you to breastfeed effectively and offer flexible after care for you and your baby once home from hospital. Wishing you a beautiful and happy birth and remember; the moment a baby is born, the mother is also born. Qualifications & Accreditations
  • Birth Doula (Recognised Member of Doula UK),
  • Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Doula (part-time)

Testimonials "After working with Kayla for a number of years on the Birth Centre, I could not recommend her more highly. As a midwife, we like to know that our clients are well supported in labour in order to allow this natural process to run more smoothly. Kayla is very skilled, witty, passionate and extremely professional; making labour and birth an even more wonderful event. I have witnessed firsthand the benefit of Kayla's calming presence at hundreds of births. You will definitely not regret choosing Kayla as your doula; you will feel like you have gained a new member to your family, in addition to your new bundle! A.L. - Birthing Centre Core Midwife "My husband was away on business when I went into early labour at 36 weeks. After a quick phone call to Kayla (who was not officially on call for me and it was 4am!!) she was with me before I really knew what was happening. Getting a doula was the best decision I ever made and I would not hesitate to recommend Kayla. She was kind, calm and caring and I really felt that she was fighting my corner through-out the whole birth process. I just hope she is available when I decide to have No.2!" N.A. - Mum of 1 "With Kayla at the birth of my second and third babies I felt truly safe, supported and listened to - all the things that I hadn't felt in my first birth. She has the gift of knowing when to step in and when to step back, bringing a knowledgeable calm to a very charged situation. I don't intend to have any more babies, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to ask for her services again and highly recommend her to anyone who is about to give birth." E.F. - Mum of 3

Katie Fox - Birth Doula

Services Offered Katie works across South and Central London. She has supported births at Chelsea & Westminster, Thomas', St Georges, Kings College Hospital, Kingston Hospital and The Portland. She is also available for home births. Birth Support Package - £1800 I provide support, before, during and after your birth. I will hold 2 antenatal sessions with you, so we can also get to know each other. I go on-call 10 days before your due date, and am available 24/7 until your go into labour. I am then with you until you have had your baby and for a couple of hours after to help with breastfeeding. I also will come and see you for a postnatal/debrief session when convenient for you. Contact Katie I live in Nappy Valley (near Clapham Junction) and I have two kids (well they are teenagers, so let’s not mention the slamming doors) but on the plus side I do not need to arrange any childcare. I have always been fascinated with pregnancy and birth, so when I heard about birth doulas 8 years ago, that was it for me. I am incredibly privileged to be able to support Mums and Dads during this special time and my aim is to help you have the birth that feels right for you. I do not have an agenda as I strongly believe that you have the choice to birth your baby in which ever way that looks for you. Some women want the whole natural birthing experience whether that is at home, or in the birth centre. Some women may want to start in the birth centre, and see `how they get on’. Some want to go straight for the drugs, and under some circumstances, choose a caesarean. Whatever your choice is, I will support you. I have supported home births, water births, natural births, inductions, assisted births, Hypnobirthing, epidurals and VBAC births. I have also supported mothers in theatre (if mum is on her own, or if the Dad’s squeamish). I have also supported Mums with various medical conditions, and in these cases have communicated with the Consultant Midwife/Obstetrician when appropriate, and helped work with the hospital to get the right amount of support for Mum. I have also been told I should insure my hands as I am very good at back rubbing. Giving birth to your baby is one of the most wonderful and life-changing experiences you will ever have. It will, in turn, challenge and reward you, leaving you with memories of your labour forever. This is why a positive birth experience is so important. My aim is to help you feel confident, prepared and supported before, during and after your birth. Please do not hesitate to contact me and I am happy to chat with you over the phone to answer any questions you may have. Qualifications & Accreditations

Testimonials "Engaging Katie as our doula was one of the best decisions that we made during my pregnancy. Katie is experienced and knowledgeable and her warm, understanding nature helped to calm our first-time parenting jitters. Leading up to the birth-date, Katie provided us with lots of information and advice, staying in constant contact in the weeks leading up to my due date. She even rushed over in the middle of the night for a false alarm. However, it was at the hospital that the real magic began. Katie, a true diplomat, was a great favourite among the midwives and instrumental in helping us stick to the birth plan, even amidst pressure for a number of interventions. Meanwhile, Katie took care of every detail so my husband and I could focus on having a baby. She also massaged, soothed and gently coached me during an 18 hour medication-free birth, allowing my husband to sleep for a few hours. A few days later, when our daughter had a scary blue episode that sent us back into the hospital for another week, Katie was with us in a flash to lend her support. We now count Katie as a trusted friend and will not hesitate to employ her services the next time around." M. - Mum of 1 "I was initially drawn to Katie because of her warm and non-judgmental demeanour and because I sensed that she had a genuine love of supporting women through pregnancy and labour. This proved to be totally the case. During the antenatal visits, Katie made sure that she understood my wishes and mine and my husband’s needs and anxieties and provided us with really helpful advice and information about labour and caring for a newborn. She was absolutely amazing throughout the labour and both my husband and I truly believe that we had the best experience possible because of Katie’s guidance and advocacy. As well as being there through every step of the labour, she helped me to breastfeed my son in the first hour of his life and provided some much needed emotional support after the birth. I will be forever grateful to Katie”. I. Mum of 1 "Heavily pregnant with a few weeks left in my 2nd pregnancy I found myself needing a doula. I will be eternally grateful my google search lead me to Katie. Prior to meeting Katie I had held reservations about how it would be having someone I didn’t know with me during such an intense and emotionally charged situation. My first birth had been traumatic and had left me with a fear of giving birth. As a second timer, I was sure that I didn’t need advice surrounding the actual labour/ birth, just someone to be a voice for me whilst I was in the throes of labour. I was wrong. Katie was able to offer me such invaluable advice and was spot on! I believe she made my experience so much smoother and less stressful. My son decided to arrive 10 days early in the early hours on New Year’s Day! Prior to arriving at the hospital, Katie was immediately there for me and even arrived at the hospital before I got there! She was nothing short of amazing helping me to walk when I found that I couldn’t. The birth was very intense and thanks to Katie’s brilliant preparation prior to this date I had the constant feeling that all was going to be ok. My biggest fear had been that I would need to give birth without any pain relief. Typically due to the speed of labour it resulted in that having to happen. But because of Katie, I could do what was needed of me in that intense, and for me, scary moment. She was my voice when I couldn’t find the right words. She gave me the courage I needed and had a calming effect on the whole atmosphere in the room. I had to have my placenta removed in theatre and where it would usually have stressed me out having to leave my baby, I did not have any cause to be worried as during that time Katie gave my son cuddles and warmth in my absence. For what could have been another traumatic birth story due to the labour itself, I can honestly say that Katie’s influence turned it into a beautiful experience for me that I will be able to treasure.' FD mum.

  • Postnatal Support - £20 per hour
Contact Melissa Congratulations on your pregnancy or new baby! I really enjoy offering practical and emotional support to new mums in my area who don’t have family nearby to help. Having experienced a serious lack of sleep when my kids were little, I know what a relief it is when someone cooks you a meal, looks after your baby while you have time out, keeps you company (while doing useful things around the house) and listens to you in a non-judgmental way. I aim to leave you feeling more rested, calm and well-fed than when I arrived! Although I’m not medically trained and can’t give you specific advice, I’m always happy to chat through different approaches that I’ve encountered. With a postnatal doula, mums very much stay in charge and we support them. If you’re looking for more direction with what “to do” then do check out maternity nurses or private midwives. I have experience of working with twins and older siblings. I’m flexible about dates and times and I don’t charge for cancellations. I’m happy to take either a booking based around your due date or to start straight away if you’ve already had your baby. I’ve worked with many different nationalities and have catered for vegetarians, gluten/dairy free etc. I have two children myself – a son born in a London hospital in 2009 and a daughter born at home in 2011. Before them I worked as a solicitor in the City. In my spare time I love reading about nutrition and natural health and doing any sort of exercise outdoors. I’m DBS checked for teaching Sunday school at my church. Qualifications & Accreditations

My husband looked forward to the days she had been as I was more relaxed, happy and he had good food for dinner!" LC, first time mum of twins "I really noticed the difference between how I coped this time and how I coped without help after my first baby. Melissa is brilliant at what she does. Testimonials "Doing the course was brilliant. It helped us feel in control going to the process, instead of feeling anxious and worried. The reassurance, techniques and advice offered by Kate were empowering. The most helpful part of the course was having the full attention of an experienced and knowledgeable midwife. Kate answered countless questions before, during and after the birth of our daughter Lettie. The course was excellent. Kate you are brilliant." - J.A. (Hypnobirthing Course during third pregnancy) "Despite having two good births, the wider macro (COVID-19) context and some bad stories since have made me very nervous when I was approaching my third birth. I hadn’t had time to consider how to approach birth or get the right mind set. Whilst nothing had changed in the wider backdrop of uncertainty, having had Kate’s invaluable coaching has made me feel much less vulnerable and fearful than I otherwise would have. I now feel that I have a toolbox to take into my labour with me and I am able to approach my birth in a more positive mind-set. There is so much of the course helped me. To ask Kate very honest questions about my fears and got very honest, experienced and medical- where appropriate answers. I really enjoyed the chance during each session to experience the relaxations and Mp3’s as well as having an understanding of the breathing techniques. I loved the Ping-Pong ball and balloon exercise- I will be thinking of this during my labour. Thank you so much Kate for all your support during these uncertain times. Your help and support has been invaluable." - E.B. (Hypnobirthing course, third baby- born at home during COVID-19 pandemic)
